Like any other week, this week has flew by for me. Submitted all my assignments on time and now I'm enjoying the few days I have off from school. Eating healthy, exercising, and treating myself to a weekend full of fun was awesome. However, I didn't forget about you all, so let's dive into "Spicing Up the Veggies." I'm so exhausted of always having to order salads when I go out, since most restaurants don't offer alternatives to the Vegan lifestyle. However, this week I bring to you not only a Vegetarian but also a Vegan restaurant, that I had the pleasure of checking out this weekend, "The Red Fern." "The Red Fern," offers a full vegan menu, whatever you read and want, you can have it my fellow vegans. And when you see something that has cheese or meat, just know it's a Vegan alternative! First, I'll speak of the physical setting, I mean it's small and cozy but at the same time, so inviting. White walls, wood floors, and y...

Welcome back! It has been a crazy week…two essays due.. reading three different novels in three different classes, blog post, washing clothes, two dogs.. blah..blah..blah, I can go on forever. Coffee has been my best friend…no milk as you all know. As the week approaches, I will say, l feel very productive. Enough about me, lets get to  “Spicing Up the Veggies." For those of you new to the vegan lifestyle, I know you're probably getting tired of salads and smoothies, so this week I bring you an exciting meal... Vegetable Stir fry with Thai noodles! I've made stir fry many times but instead of serving with rice, I decided to spice it up with some noodles. Not only does Stir fry offer a full plate of colors, but plenty of nutrients as well. This meal is super easy to make, with prepping and cooking, you're looking at a maximum of 25 minutes!  Ingredients: - 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil - 1 red bell pepper - 1 green bell pepper - 1 yellow ...
Heyyyyy!! My name is Alexis W. and I’m a junior at the College of Brockport, majoring in Journalism & Broadcasting with a minor in English. After college, I want to relocate to California and start my career as a news anchor. With my degree, two dogs, and living my dream in a big place, I can’t imagine anything better after four stressful years.  I’m originally from Buffalo, NY but I’ve lived in New Jersey for the past three years, which had its pros and cons. Living in a fast city for the first time taught me to work hard and stay focused to keep from drowning. Knowing that I only wanted to get smarter, start my career and exceed, I knew it was time to go back to school. Once I got back in the groove, I found my passion and I also thought I found love but that didn’t last long.  Letting go of the past and focusing on the future, I moved to Rochester with family to continue my studies and live a typical life as a 22-year-old. As I get closer to graduating, I learn mor...
